BRING ON THE SUN   ACE & TATE   Concept creation and visual/video research. Made at Base Design, 2021/22. Created together with Lea Wolf, Bruce Vansteenwinkel, Coline Leclère, Manon Bails, Margaretha Smeets and Dimitri Jeurissen. Photographs by Martina Bjorn.

Campaign design for Ace & Tate’s spring summer 2022 campaign —  selling sunglasses without a lens or frame in sight. Bring on the sun, a collection featuring people squinting from the sunlight, evoking the universal feeling ‘being dazzled by the sun’ highlighting a need for a product, instead of the product itself. Showing a week later the second part of the campaign, the eyewear collection photographed on the same models, using a strong zoom to first draw attention to the models’ expressions and second on the frames themselves.

WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT FASHION   HASSELT FASHION MUSEUM   Campaign creation, visual identity, exhibition & communication design, label, text and graphic design. Scenography together with Isabelle Speybrouck & Julie Teetaert. 2023. Made at Bureau BoschBerg.

Campaign creation and exhibition design for the We need To Talk About Fashion (WNTTAF) exhibition of Modemuseum Hasselt. In every age, fashion raises questions and elicits different feelings. In WNTTAF, the exhibition presents four topics of conversation: resistance, honesty, nostalgia and pleasure. One hundred recently acquired collection pieces are shown. Not only iconic objects by resounding names such as Madeleine Vionnet, Jean Paul Gaultier, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and Comme des Garçons, but also anonymous gems form ideal conversation pieces.

FĀS, GRADUATION PROJECT   LUCA SCHOOL OF ARTS   Visual identity, concept creation and product design. 2021. Made at LUCA School of Arts. Created together with Janice Feryn.

Housing is no longer self-evident. Due to economic, ecologic and demographic factors housing in cities will have to be rethought within the constraints of our existing infrastructures. To create space for everyone, cities will have to work towards more efficient spatial planning by organising housing smarter. Doing more with less space will become the norm. Reality is that people who live small often have to compromise. Not only in space and amenities, but also in the amount of guests they entertain. We started a solution-oriented brand, called fās (pronounced as /feɪs/),  creating adjustable modular furniture/utensils based on maintaining human connections in restricted living spaces. Focusing on systems that make efficient and optimal use of their occupied space. CB14 — our first developed furniture prototype — is a pack of two modular chairs that convert into a bench without the need of extra storage space for the connecting parts. It creates the opportunity to seat three people instead of two by connecting the chairs.

DANSAERT & BRUSSELS BEER PROJECT   Brand identity maintenance, concept creation, label design and packaging design. 2022/23. Made at Coast Agency. Created together with Thomas Van Heck.

Identity, label, packaging design and various communication for Brussels Beer Project and it’s sub-brand DANSAERT. Both brand identities contain a flexible labelling system generating a change of color for every new product produced: a new batch, a new name and a new colour. The Brussels Beer Project (BBP) branding marked itself in a saturated market full of traditional brands by combining modernity, flexibility and playfulness. Taking an authentic, no fuss, honest and creative position together with their sub-brand DANSAERT. A programme which takes its name from where all Lambic beers are brewed, packaged and sold: Rue Antoine Dansaert. For 50 years Brussels waited for someone to open a new chapter in the wild fermented beer scene. With their 75cl bottles DANSAERT revives the centuries old regional product and represents an alternative view of Brussels: multicultural, contemporary & vibrant.

DELIRIOUS DECEMBER   DANDOY   Campaign design and concept creation. 2021/22. Made at Base Design. Created together with Aurélia de Azambuja.

Delirious December, a seasonal December (2021) campaign design for biscuit brand Dandoy. For the December month filled with holidays, Dandoy fills its catalogues/shops/ect. with ridiculous sales attracting people to stores and grabbing their attention. Buy ten thousand speculoos, get one free! Referring to the eye catching design of offers/advertisements in toy catalogues Dandoy’s December campaign reminds you of the holiday spirit where toys get unwrapped and games are played... Roll the dice and draw a card.
OYE YAAR   Concept creation, visual identity, product/label design. 2022/23. Made at Coast Agency.

Identity and label design for OYE YAAR, an Indian rooted concentrate made from turmeric/curcuma. A spicy non-alcoholic alternative for cocktail mixes immersing us in the culture of modern India. Inspired by the Hindi alphabet/script, the Oye Yaar logo design creates both a visual/illustrative image as a recognisable brand name.

TAKE OVER   KAVKA   Visual concept creation and research for a subbrand identity. 2021. Made at studio de Ronners. Created together with Lieselot Coenen.

TAKE OVER is a series of artistic take overs in unexpected places, powered by Kavka. It’s an artistic project originated from the idea that art can be the breeding ground for innovation. A programme creating conversation between young adults with artistic ambitions and politicians, researchers, entrepreneurs, activists, designers, artists and active citizens. Each year 4 groups of young adults are selected to tackle 4 themes out of which 4 programmes are developed taking over 4 locations with atypical pop-ups. Using the temporary aspect of the concept, Kavka TAKE OVER graphically tapes over the initial use of spaces for their pop-ups.

UNTITLED   LUCA SCHOOL OF ARTS   Editorial design and concept creation. 2020/21. Made at LUCA School of Arts. Created together with Janice Feryn.

Food is unavoidable if you commute. You might not have noticed it yet but there is a food culture in which every commuter takes part. Untitled is a book/concept design created through the eyes of Richard Prince about food culture for commuters to enjoy. Richard Prince is an American painter and photographer famous for his appropriation art. Most of his twenties Prince spent his time on public transport traveling through Europe — his expertise as a travel guide as well as a food critic and conversationalist guides commuters along their route. Using his principles as a design methodology by appropriating the visual language of railway stations.

WADSEE   WADDEN (NL)  Concept creation and research for a subbrand identity. 2021. Made at studio de Ronners.

Poster campaign design for the pitch of the educational programme of the Waddeneilanden (NL).
